This is my sheltering post.
Whakatere stands proudly, a source of vitality, a heart full of life.
The cradle of my love, the eternal flame of my ancestors.
Waima is the river that flows through the ridges of the land.
Ohinewai is the ancestral house, and Otatara stands firm in the winds of time.
Te Mahurehure is the hapu, and Ngāpuhi is the great calling, the sovereignty.
This is me, a descendant of the star cluster of Te Hokianga, the great expanse of Kupe.

The purpose is to get everyone involved, and to get everyone excited about what's happening in this space.
We're also putting a big focus on our Tamariki.

Every event at our reunion has been meticulously planned by dedicated roopu, and they have certainly put in the mahi! Each roopu has invested significant time and energy. They have conducted in-depth research, created engaging and exciting activities, and utilized personal resources to make it all possible.
They are all driven by a shared connection and passion within their respective roopu, and have poured their hearts into making this reunion special.
