Ko Ngāpuhi nui tonu te kārangaranga, te mana motuhake.
Ko au tēnei, he uri nō te kāhui whetū o Te Hokianga nui a kupe
This is my sheltering post.
Whakatere stands proudly, a source of vitality, a heart full of life.
The cradle of my love, the eternal flame of my ancestors.
Waima is the river that flows through the ridges of the land.
Ohinewai is the ancestral house, and Otatara stands firm in the winds of time.
Te Mahurehure is the hapu, and Ngāpuhi is the great calling, the sovereignty.
This is me, a descendant of the star cluster of Te Hokianga, the great expanse of Kupe.
So what's happening
Get ready! The 2026 Kaweora & Keti Mokaraka Whānau Reunion is shaping up to be an epic long weekend!
We have sports events, workshops, whakapapa and family history presentations and much more. Every event at our reunion has been meticulously planned by a dedicated roopu, and they are all driven by a shared connection and passion, making this an event you don't want to miss!

We will also be hosting Willy Mok's 1 year, as well as the unveiling of Patrick (Seek) Mokaraka.
There's a Mokaraka Sports Day trophy up for grabs! Custom made for our Mokaraka whānau and has been dedicated to the memory of Willy Mok's.
